An epiphyte is a plant that grows above ground supported non-parasitically by another plant or object. So in layman's terms, a plant that is growing on top of another plant (harmlessly) and getting its nutrients from air, water and dust.
Popular plants that are epiphytes include staghorn ferns, birds nest ferns, bromeliads, orchids, tillandsia and spanish moss.
We've learned the best way to water your mounted plant is to take it off of the wall or wherever you have it displayed, and place it in the kitchen sink. Allow the faucet to slowly drip water onto the epiphyte until it is well soaked. Let it sit in your sink for a bit before placing it back up on the wall to avoid dripping.
Heck yeah we do! You can find a list of our available workshops here.
